The goal of activists can be to do the work necessary in order to put oneself out of business. Roman feels similarly and looks forward to a day when condemning people in positions of power for abusing their authority is not required, because we will no longer live under such circumstances. Roman incorporates the importance of creating a world where everyone feels safe walking down the street, there are no weapons or jails. and everyone has everything they need to live in creative narratives. Often times making audiences uncomfortable is one aspect of truth telling. As the adage goes, "If you want to tell the truth, make them laugh or else they'll kill you." Throughout history colonialists and fascists have killed people for merely existing. If we're under attack based on the bodies we've been born into, based on our identities, it only makes sense that those who are able to speak up.
